The business analyst position is focused on developing a deep functional and technical understanding of key systems, and how to best apply them. You will work together with business and technical teams to plan, design, and implement digital solutions using new or existing technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide Tier 3 technical support for several applications. Applications include but not limited to O365 (SharePoint and Teams), Dynamics CRM, CPQ systems, as well as custom applications.
-Train end users and support teams on new functionality or features
-On projects, provide post-implementation technical support and expertise.
•Develop deep technical expertise on applications and supporting business processes.
-Identify gaps in existing systems where business needs are not met through analysis of support issues and by meeting regularly with business stakeholders.
•Work with business or IT stakeholders to implement application enhancements.
-Conduct meetings with stakeholders to elicit and document requirements.
-Understand existing business processes and refine/develop with business stakeholders where necessary.
-Produce project artifacts as needed, including requirements documentation, use cases, process flows, and software specifications. Maintain artifacts throughout the life of the initiative.
-Create test plans, execute validation, and assist/manage business users with user acceptance testing.
CRITICAL CAPABILITIES
•Strong communication skills - written and oral.
•Team player - comfortable interfacing with cross-functional groups with minimal supervision.
•Must have an aptitude and willingness to learn new applications.
•Strong facilitation skills that include meeting organization and preparation, clear presentation of ideas, ability to moderate discussions, and drive consensus on direction is an asset.
•Able to prioritize and plan workloads to meet project deadlines.
•Advanced application and troubleshooting skills with knowledge in the following applications is an asset:
-O365 (SharePoint and Teams)
-Dynamics CRM and CPQ
-Nintex K2 Five
•Advanced business knowledge in one or more of; Sales and Marketing, eCommerce is an asset.
•Experience with software development life cycle and business analysis techniques.
•Knowledge of Azure DevOps is an asset.
•Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
•Project Management experience is an asset.
•Fluent in English, additional language skills considered an asset.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
-Bachelor's Degree/College Diploma in a technical discipline (Engineering or IT related)
EXPERIENCE
-2 years’ experience as a technical business analyst or application specialist preferred.
2 years process improvement, data, or technology project experience would be a strong asset.
