We are recruiting a motivated and passionate IT Business Analyst with sales/marketing background, cyber security awareness and knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform to be part of the energy transition, helping Shell to lead the world in the creation of more and cleaner energy solutions!
Where you fit in
The Bukom site is an integrated oil and petrochemicals site, with manufacturing facilities for fuels, lubricant base oils and specialty chemicals. Bukom is the largest wholly-owned Shell refinery globally in terms of crude distillation capacity (500,000 barrels per day). It is also home to a world-class Ethylene Cracker Complex (800,000 tonnes per annum) and a Butadiene Extration Unit (155,000 tonnes per annum).
IT support is provided to approximately 1000 Shell employees and more than 1000 contractors. The Site BA will be involved in discussions at all levels and all disciplines of the site organisation, from Engineers to C&P and even commercial teams, all of which need new IT solutions to make them successful.
The Site IT Business Analyst will act as an IRM (Information Risk Management) ambassador at site – cybersecurity is very high on the agenda as the physical health of the asset as well as the community and environment can be impacted. Help the site “Think Secure” by raising awareness regarding confidential information, hardware security, data security, email security.
What’s the role?
As Site IT Business Analyst to the Site IT Manager East you will help us to exploit Information Technology to achieve smarter, faster and cheaper business operations at the Downstream Manufacturing site of Pulau Bukom in Singapore. Through visits to Production Units and other departments at site, you will know “a day in the life of” these people and understand not only their IT issues and challenges, but also the pain points and inefficiencies in their daily work processes. You will develop and use your business analysis skills to explore opportunities, contributing to a greatly improved end user experience. We want you to use your knowledge of the latest technologies, to identify data, processes and technology solutions, which can have a direct impact on the bottom line.. You will work with various teams in our IT community (e.g. Service Operations, Competency Centre, Information Risk Management, Architecture etc.) to deliver reliable, affordable and secure IT services to the site.
You will act as the local IT antenna in large innovative, global deployments that come to site. Your knowledge of people and processes will help identify and resolve concerns and strengthen business readiness to adopt the proposed solutions and exploit them in full. Your interpersonal skills and talent for communication will be crucial for your success. By working work as one team with business and IT, you will be able to speak both languages, understanding business needs, but also IT drivers. This role is an excellent opportunity to get to know a Manufacturing Asset and how IT enables and affects the daily operations at site. The ITA is a member of the M East IT team, which is end to end accountable for all aspects of IT delivery (operations, projects and strategy).

Requirements:
What we need from you
Familiarity with data and information management principles. Ideally some experience of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Bi and Power Apps)
Familiarity with IT infrastructure support and telecoms – IT infrastructure is an important aspect of e.g. turnarounds and other CAPEX projects
Able to work closely with site stakeholders at all levels to build trust and understand their goals, motivations, constraints, risks, and operating environment.
