**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking an experienced Senior Web Business Analyst, knowledgeable in Agile software development practices, to work on key digital / e-commerce initiatives on BestBuy.com.
The Senior Web Business Analyst takes point on new product features and initiatives in identifying the business needs, translating them into requirements, and ensuring solutions successfully meet the requirements. This role would also begin to set some standards and processes within the planning and executing of business analysis activities including stakeholder analysis, managing project risks, and issues, monitor and report on requirements activities, participating or facilitating user acceptance testing. This individual will need strong analytical skills and should have the ability to effectively work cross-functionally, and ability to put together a point of view and communicate concisely to gain alignment across stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Leads and monitors the planning and executing of business analysis activities including stakeholder analysis, participating, or facilitating user acceptance testing through internal and/or external resources.
Develop user stories that are concise and testable
Ability to mentor/teach new team members the system functionality and assist in on-boarding.
Build and maintain traceability of the user stories, functional requirements, and deliverables.
Participates in user acceptance testing. Debugs data issues between and within systems.
Act as Scrum master to host everyday stand-ups, sprint planning, release planning, present demos, and gather feedback.
Prioritize the requirements along with the Product owner by help gathering, providing, and assessing data points for requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
4 years of experience in a Business Analyst position focused on web-based projects and working with software development methodologies to include waterfall, iterative and/or agile, and a bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering, or 2 additional years of the same experience without a bachelor’s degree
1 years’ experience with RESTful design patterns for API and using tools specific to REST APIs
1 years working with different disciplines in customer-facing application domain such as Engineering, Product, and User experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an eCommerce/retail organization.
Understanding or exposure to the mobile domain
Experience with Agile software tools such as JIRA
In-depth knowledge of business systems functionality and interconnectedness. Can effectively communicate functionality and requirements needed through all levels of the business and engineering teams
In-depth requirements gathering experience - ability to document and define business logic and rules within the broader team’s areas of responsibility
Experience and understanding of the software development cycle, design research and A/B testing methods, API’s, HTML, CSS, and web analytics
Ability to understand basic and complex architectural diagrams and data flows
Experience with varied production methodologies such as forms of Agile development and/or Lean Development
Track record of project execution; complete/ship excellent products on time/budget
Knowledge of user experience trends and digital / web consumer behaviors
Exposure and familiarity with front end and server-side technologies and frameworks
Proven ability to work under rapid development cycles with medium to large teams to achieve a common goal
Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Data Science/Analytics
