Our direct client is looking for multiple Business Analysts to join their organization. The opportunity is to be involved with their ongoing efforts to create the Exchange due to the Healthcare Reform Mandate.
These individuals should have a strong understanding from the government standpoint of what's involved in setting up an Electronic Health Information Exchange with the newly established federal healthcare reform regulations in the Affordable Care Act (ACA). They will be required to provide requirements definition, technical and business design, implementation and operations and support reports which can seamlessly integrate/interfaces (using industry standards such as HL7, CCD, and CCR) with the Health Information Exchange (HIE) and the MMIS and other social services and health services systems. These positions will have overall responsibilities for analyzing, understanding and translating business needs into business/technical requirements with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Performs Business Requirements Gathering process, including the creation of deliverables.
Conducts detailed research
Performs analysis necessary to identify viable solution alternatives
Follows the client's business requirement's documentation process utilizing the appropriate tools
Delivers work estimates to client(s)
Creates technical documents and high-level solution design
Participates in the complete system development life cycle
May perform testing including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Knowledge:
4-6 years of related IT work experience preferably in the health insurance industry
Experience with the Healthcare Reform Mandate
Requires knowledge of system development life cycle and implementation methodologies
Demonstrates proficiency in structured query languages or analysis techniques
Demonstrates ability to apply structure to a loosely defined problem
Demonstrates understanding of core business functions
Has played a key role in major company initiatives and demonstrated some leadership experience
Requires ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
Requires strong PC skills
Requires excellent organizational skills
Prefer working knowledge of programming, development, and technical architecture
Preferred Background:
Worked at a Big 4 firm such as Ernst & Young, Accenture, KPMG or Deloitte
