Business Analyst Health IT
As a Business Analyst, you will help Next Phase implement technology solutions by determining the requirements of a project or program and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators, and partners.
Next Phase Solutions and Services Inc. is hiring a Business Analyst
to join our team to gather requirements, write user stories, and communicate with stakeholders. The position supports performing the full software systems lifecycle tasks using Agile methodologies.
As a Business Analyst
, you will be responsible for performing tasks that draw on your skills to facilitate/coordinate business analysis discussions. Candidate must be able to conduct tasks in coordination with the development team.
Responsibilities
Elicits business requirements from business users, and subject matter experts, and documents in various forms of technical documents and user stories
Understand the integration and data consumption patterns between various systems, current/future state, user stories, and process flows to support project team members
Prepare project artifacts, including use cases, user stories, workflows, process flows, functional specifications, and other documents as deemed necessary
Participate in requirement change requests and testing as needed
Participate in SCRUM meetings
Requirements
At least three (3) years of proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing
Two (2 ) plus years of experience with User Story development
Experience supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) programs
which employ Agile methods
Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
Solid experience in writing SQL queries
Basic knowledge in generating process documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills
Demonstrated success in communicating effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including customer stakeholders
Comprehensive understanding of the system development lifecycle as implemented with Agile and SAFe methods
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration
Health IT experience in the Federal Government space is considered a Plus!

US citizen or Authorized to work and lived continuously in the US for three (3) of the last five (5) years.
Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust background investigation.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES RESIDENCY IN MARYLAND OR NORTHERN VIRGINIA and is PARTIAL REMOTE 2 DAYS A WEEK. THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A FULL REMOTE SCHEDULE.
